Just make sure that it's different enough to not be "duplicate content". My recommendation would be to write a totally new post that provides a significant amount of value, instead of trying to do a different version of the same post. That way, you are contributing even more value to the blog.

This is great info. I recently did a guest post, but did not get a lot of responses. But I'm thinking about reworking the post and resubmitting it elsewhere.
